His weapon is really powerful. I can kill people really quickly and it’s even good at close range. But the airstrike is pitiful. I just use it to gib people with.

The only problem for me is the unprecision of its airstrike pointer… the airstrike never falls where I want ^^ When I aim far, I can’t aim precisely (my very own experience, perhaps I’m the only one).

And I feel the green zone movings very odd, it’s not smooth at all, like if it was switching between pre-definied positions…

just remember that if you aim at walls you will put it in front of the wall.

Also, if you move around too much while aiming, the targeting tries to be nice to you so you can move your mouse off target a little and not cancel the targeting

I tried him once and didn’t enjoy it. I couldn’t use the airstrike ability at all cuz it felt pretty wierd and took alot of time (compared to grenades/markers). Its also quite weak and hard to aim right. I dont think that de weapons need to be changed, they are fine.

The reality is, it really doesn’t. It deals 50hs damage, where any other rifle deals between 28 to 35.

But the ROF and Spread is so big that it’s really hard to kill anyone with him. If this was a PvE game (Killing Floor/Payday), the weapon would be good enough, but good luck trying to get 4 hs in a row against a Fragger that destroys you with the lmg. Or any skihammer weapon

I love his default rifle, but I do believe his spotter thing should call down multiple shells rather than just one per call down, kind of like Skyhammer but just in a single spot but for more time.
The area is marked and then a volley of 3 shells hit the area, for example

He has a realy short cooldown on his ability and can store 2 charges, I think that makes up for the radius, it’s a pretty quick skill to use too.
I like to put it on downed players near medics, good fun that.

Would never use the Dreiss over any other gun in comp, it’s too inaccurate to actually be effective with. That thing needs to be a laser in order to be at the least bit viable.

His ability is nice though.

Another option would be that if you manually select his artillery designator then you can activate it simply by pressing your trigger key.

This would mean having to be a bit more tactical but it would ultimately make him easier to use.

I do also agree that he has been overnerfed in general.

But yes, aiming while moving requires a little training ^^

His weapon is strong, but the airstrike is clunky, weak and some maps even useless on. Not sure why they design classes to be useless on some maps so you’re forced to play Fragger (or actually not because nobody can afford him yet) so the matches becomes incredibly onesided.

His airstrike should either be changed to a continous mortar barrage so you can deny an area for a longer time, or make his airstrike stronger and not be affected by flinching.

First off with the Fragger comment, Skyhammers airstrike counts as a grenade if the airstrike can’t be called in. I have used this to break every placeable object in the game. The only thing you can’t do is cook it like a grenade. The AOE is smaller, but still effective. Oh, and skyhammer is free. Everybody owns him already.

There isn’t a map where the airstrike abilities are ‘useless’. There are situations where the ability is useless(like in an elevator or under a bridge for example), but no map makes them useless. In fact, being able to use them well on a map like Underground takes more skill, but can be even more effective because your opponents don’t expect it as much. There have been many times where I saw an attacking team get wiped at the final objective because you can call in right on top of it.

Inside of the GH building on Bridge is another example, but you can use airstrikes and arty on all of the attack points to prevent the enemy from getting in. The turn in point is also completely exposed to attack as well, which can be a huge factor in winning that map.

Later Stoker will have the area denial you are talking about(creating a arty barrage would be OP against any map where the EV is used or with an exposed objective).

I still agree with the point that aimpunch shouldn’t interrupt his airstrike. That was mentioned earlier and I still think it is the best fix for arty right now.
