It’s awful. People try and argue that its competitive due to the one life but they don’t keep in mind DB’s game design is not CS’s game design. There’s no risk to it, everyone has their abilities, it has nothing that makes CS interesting.

Because it doesn’t really fit Dirty Bomb imo, this game is all about the merc abilities, managing cooldowns, the objectives, etc.
A one life per round mode with no real risk involved since everyone starts with their abilities at the ready, doesn’t really fit the game as well as people want to think. We would have been better off with Headquarters, KOTH, Domination, or CTF.[/quote]
I suppose you are right, its not that fitting for the original game ideas, it mostly reminds me of Camper Strike: Globally Offended. While it doesnt fit in that much, its still nice to have it! It might be a bit out of place but i like to play it every once in a while. And im sure tehres gonna be more modes coming up…right? Right?

Thats something a game always has to deal with. They needed to emphasise that these cards will be “VERY RARE” with caps like that so it will chill ppl a bit. Or just putting some of em in store for purchase. Letting it roll by RNG always pisses ppl off, its just how it is, i cant do anything about it.

I didn’t get a single CW event case or CW card for that matter. Incredibly annoyed, now I don’t have anything to show that I’ve been playing since before the event.
And I saw some level 5’s and lower with CW cards and I think I died on the inside.
At least I got Nader for pretty cheap.

I grinded a whole month and opened nearly 1.200 normal cases just to get my CW Hurricane Fragger.
Got two during the weekend event.
@Scav What’s really upsetting me is how people handling some skins. Completely losing common-sense and any humanity, getting on levels German people were 70 years ago, degrading the value of other players.

What hes trying to point out is that there should be some appreciation towards those who a) like the game, been playing and now play it more so they can get CW card that was promoted so hard and b) those who just joined the game and wanna get some stuff but dont want to spend money yet cause the game is still new to them. (not even gonna go into the RNG bit) I understand ppl who feel cheated, its not that easy to accept that there is a month long event and playing through all of it you get nothing to remember it by. Nothing even showcasing that you were part of it (thats what matters, its marketing and it works!)
Also, money is not everything in game development, playerbase is a huge factor, and events like these bring attention and thus lots of new players, boosting the playercount. If half of them wont have anything to remember it by, they might get upset and leave, just as many ppl said already.
While i dont pay as much attention to lotteries, its kind of a bummer for most ppl, and its understandable.
I get that the RNG part sucks but overall I thought it was a good sale. They didn’t have to do a black friday sale, a lot of games didn’t. I bought 2 champs with credits and 2 champs with cash. I am pretty happy with everything even though the only limited edition card I got was a stupid Redeye card.
I think people would be less salty if there were some kind of better trade in system for the crap cards that everyone got. I know they say they are going to change the trade in system so we’ll see what they give us.
The event was good, 4 cw cards, 2 50k mercs. Even without cards, still got 2 mercs for 35k

I’ll make sure to remember it for next year so I could actually save up heeps of credits to fully use the black friday sale, which isn’t popular in my country so it wasn’t really on my mind beforehand.
Although I probably won’t be needing anything by that time…
Very good event/sale, amount of credits I earned were insane, bought the 3 remaining mercs I didn’t own kira/phantom/rhino, love Kira, love Phantom even more…and rhino…meh.
Did some trade ups to get some loadouts I wanted, 20-30 tries for the phantom card i was after, earned the credits back, also got one of them cw event cases got a redeye loadout, not the best imo (as i prefer the grandeur over the driess on redeye) but not bad either, goes well with my phantom (with regular knife frownyface), skyhammer and vasilli cw loadouts.
Also had so many great games this weekend, where both teams were equally skilled 80% of the time and it was more like a game of tug of war than the usual happenings, wish I could have more games like this in the future.
