well if that is the case then i should be fine i got cable (YES)
Am i going to get lag if i have win. 7
what i mean is lag is when in Single player were i assume that the AI is loaded off my Comp will receive lower RoF slower computing from hip to ADS etc…
Alienware? Just buy a desktop and be done with it! It’s cheaper and more powerful
But, your hardware specs don’t look too good, you most likely will get serious visual lag…
common american being americans who drink nothing but budweiser and other watered down swill of beverages and actually call it good beer…
and i’m not really a bigot… seeing as i am american myself… seeing as i am in north carolina perhaps my definition of “common american” is different from yours… but as i’ve seen stated trend of drinking watered down swill and calling it good elsewhere in the country i figured it was rather safe to say.
maybe you should ahve said Common North Carolinan
That’s what I was going to say. The main issue with running games is the graphics card. You cannot upgrade it with a laptop. The CPU and memory are less important and are compatible longer than graphics cards.

I’m from New England. The lowest we go is Sam’s, which is still pretty good.
Is it a Beth forum thing to run through and multi post replies (you got 4 posts in a row there) rather than quoting and replying to all in a single post? It’s not a whine, just curious is all… never really saw it here till the new members joined.
As said… get a PC.
nope, as said, get a desktop, for the price of an Alienware (Dell) you could get a decent desktop and a dual core netbook for school
I don’t really see the point of a gaming laptop, I doubt playing games while you’re in a coffee shop or other hot spot is encouraged…

MU-Mu-mu-mu-multiQUOTE - QUote - Quote is needed!
There was a whole thread (two technically) on this already. I agreed with your point but wrote too lengthily and eloquently to capture any support. I’m good at ruining threads by intuitively approaching with opposite appeal. The consensus is though that coffee shop or bus ride, Brink should be playable in those environments. I would have been surprised the way this thread is going if the OP hadn’t simply added “alienware”.
lol, the failure to think outside one’s own little box is astounding here, the idea that someone can only afford one computer and needs a laptop for school/work seems to slip by people who only see life from their own tunnel
…if someone can afford Alienware I don’t think money is that big of a problem…
buying a gaming laptop was my most expensive mistake ever…
now I have $3000+ computer with WC and that big heavy laptop that doesn’t work without power cable has almost no use now, I would not call it portable
There hasn’t been any specs released yet right. I’m patiently waiting it’s just Black ops came out and it didn’t run so well on win7 for me and on xp I get 125fps mostly all the time. Then I just got Homefront and well that games fps is pretty low on both it needs a major patch.
I’m just hoping we have an actual good running pc game here the last few I’ve got haven’t ran too great in MP atleast.
$400 laptop, $1000 desktop. Not a $1400 laptop that can’t really do either very well, and I KNOW that’s what people are getting. If someone was truly only able to afford one computer they’d buy the $299.99 black friday laptops and wouldn’t be making threads like “it runs sims 2 but not black ops”, no, those inexpensive laptops don’t run ANYTHING. They’re like netbooks with a bigger screen. The midrange $800-1500 stuff is what everyone gets and struggles to run games with. Everyone seems to naturally jump to the conclusion they need to “trade up” laptops. Rather than just getting a desktop and using both.
PC gaming is a more expensive hobby, that’s why consoles sell more. People who cannot afford can still “have both”.
like I said earlier, but I assumed he was kidding about the Alienware
if he could afford an Alienware laptop, he could just spend that money on a high end desktop as he already has a good laptop for everything else
