Yeah seriously SD… how much twitter publicity do I need to give you (@TeamIPX and @Sha8doW) before you give us an AUS server?
we cant really influence the Alpha without it!
@Robag even offered to host it if you can give us the toolz!

People won’t play if they don’t have a server, but they won’t get a server if they don’t play… :frowning:

badman asked if there was demand that people should speakup, and they have responded.

Australia often seem to get left out of the server pools and I think it’s unjust, they clearly have plently of gamers.

Of locations that have a reasonably large representative body on these forums and conversely have very infavourable pings with existing servers I reckon Australia would be very near the top of that group, if not crowning it.

because with +200 pings, its REALLY unplayable! What’s worse is, Echo will be getting incorrect play information due to us playing badly because of the high pings - this is bad for the whole community! Also it is almost impossible to determine if there is a bug or if its lag! The hit detection has been terrible in all of the games Ive played (1 shot kills through walls, bullets not registering, deaths from “off shots”), and they have all be with pings 200 or higher, but how can i really pass judgement when I cannot tell if its a lag or game issue!?

Build it and they will come - especially if you’re expecting people to drop $120…
and we (teamipx.net) are actually offering to assist with hosting! We just need the tools!

So is this just thread just going to slide down into oblivion? Demand was asked for and definitely shown imo. Can we get some indication if an Aussie alpha server is at all a possibility or do we need to wait till the beta etc?

time differences resulting from geographic location would contribute to this. hanging out in the lobby/server waiting for players to show gets old quick
