Aimee Concept Art and release

they posted another photo on their twitter which I think is aimees camera controller. I really cant believe, after all the community suggestions for unique abilities they still went with the camera. it kinda sucks imo. maybe they reinvented it? but then again there isnt really to much you can do with a camera.

I mean with the new update of “line of sight” on the obj in the latest patch, i’m sure the camera will fit that role, and it will be very helpful because you don’t have to stay around the obj all the time to get a line of sight for team. But the real question is if it could automatically spot people between its line of sight or Aimee has to manually does it.

Maybe the camera can also show the progress of the objective. Like if no defender is around the objective the defenders can still see if any attackers are repairing or planting C4 without being there. It should be able to see them without looking in the camera as that could be a little annoying since u cant defend yourself while looking through unless it has a weapon attached or something

@Pinchiiy48 I think the camera replaces the mini-map. But i think being able to see objective progress might be one of the main uses of Aimee

heh it has a way more tactic value now that you cant see anymore if someones defusing when you dont look directly at the objective i think this camera will counter that

Beside the obvious Aimee hints, I’m starting to think that this whole Max Bashki thing may be pointing towards some cosmetics-related stuff being in the next release. I mean, we’re talking invites to a fashion show, along with release of concept art not only for the “normal” Aimee model but also a [url=“https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Cd2PMYSXEAEW_1k.jpg:large”]full study of alternate heads as well as [url=“https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Cd6VA8AW4AAiRpB.jpg:large”]complete alternate models. Unless they are cruelly taunting us, why show this stuff if none of it will be in the game?

Now that I think of it… that seems reasonable. It would be easy to just change some clothes or accessories on a character but retain the general profile.

It’s sad that we didn’t get the merc’s name even though shoe. said we’d get the merc’s name reveal this week.

I don’t even know what the big content update by the end of this month would be. No new hints etc - They’re making us wait till April the 18th for a potential merc and map release.

Thunder’s rolecall was around end Nov 2015. Just count how many months we’ve waited for the merc release. Geez.

The worst thing is, that not even new merc was released since November, but even any new content or anything worth mentioning was added. This game really needs some more love from developers. I´ve spent more than 30 euro at this game and still dont regret it but, I feel cheated that I spent money on game which is no longer updated. There were few “fine tunes” which made some mercs broken, and even when everyone knows that nothing is gonna change. I dont understand why isnt Aimee in game currently. I think that she was in Alpha so why dont they bring her back at her previous state and let community to tune her up by feedback.

Content takes time. Granted I do agree things seem to happen pretty slowly with Dirty Bomb, but November until now really isn’t that long in the scheme of things. Not every update can be flashy and full of content at this stage, and a lot of the smaller, almost unnoticeable features and tweaks that go in will take up a decent chunk of dev hours.

Trying to say you feel cheated for spending money on a game that is no longer updated is a little melodramatic, it’s not like we’re at the point where the game is abandoned. Hell, this whole thread is talking about a more elaborate tease for new content than we’ve seen before - surely that should be encouraging if anything.
