For the ShooterGame.ini (Game settings Menu I suppose)

Disabling the ‘death lasershow’:
m_bEnablePawnGhostSystem=False
m_bShowDeathInfo=False
(these are currently also bugged as dieing from explosive damage still draws partial lasershows, drawing only the text and no cards or only the blue/red character models and nothing else)

Some commands should probably be split into separate ones. For MaxParticleVertexMemory and MaxFluidNumVerts, right now these effect a lot of different things in the game. It’d be nice to have these split up so it gives more options. Especially with forcing some things it’d be great. A lot of people probably want muzzleflash to be gone but mine indicators on. Or SD will want Smoke to be forced on(Redeye) but allow people to have other things turned off. It’d suggest:

  • EnableWeaponEffects=False/True (grouping all weapon effects, muzzleflash/tracers etc)
  • EnableIndicators=False/True (all the 'glowie) things like the health station pulse, heartbeat sensor pulse, mines colors etc)
  • EnableExplosives=False/True (all explosions particles, without values so that it’s either on or off)
  • EnableSmoke=False/True (all smoke particles, without values so that it’s either on or off)

If you’re PC is good enough to never drop under 22 it will cap the bottom for you. Kinda pointless but it allows for setting a range I guess :stuck_out_tongue:

no way youre playing this game with that processor. i have it also and its completely unplayable with a tweaked cfg as low as it will go.

This also limits effects.
MaxParticleResize=1
MaxParticleResizeWarn=2

If you set those values all effects (muzzleflash, mine indicator, airstrike marker, explosions, tracers etc) are gone.
I’ve set it to 5 and 6, i see all effects but they seem to be reduced and it definitely increases performance compared to default values

the kill feed is still there up in the corner but any sort of pop to do with xp or medal gain is removed. if its to do with the objective such as someone is building that still shows up that’s a different command

Few Questions:

The two Below Commands I could NOT get to work last night… What File do I put them in and where? Do I also need to make the final a “Read Only”?

Side Notes:
#1) I always use Color Grading 2 with a White Crosshair. People stick out so much better IMO…

#2) What about capping your Monitor Refresh Rate Command? I have been tweaking my Resolution lately and I want to make sure when I change my Res my refresh rate is still 144hz!!

Question:
Does anyone tweak Net Code Lines or are those pretty much locked down now? I keep wishing for smooth game play!!!

I am. I even got a RAMPAGE once. I stick to medic, though. I only switch to fragger to break stubborn defenders.

Settings these (both?) to 1 makes explosives invisible and mines have no outline. In my experience, 400 is fine, but maybe even a value of 2 will make explosives visible (I haven’t really experimented).

You dont need to change hertz in the ini. Just use max hertz in windows and you get max hertz in DB.
Also that setting looks more to be whats allowed to use in the game, not what is actually set.

To my experience MaxFluidNumVerts=1 + MaxParticleVertexMemory=400 = Full effects. So Im not sure what MaxFluidNumVerts does.

Finally, great news! Sadly, I am not good at knowing what all of those commands do. However, I’d love to have a Menu option to enable / disable / force to enemies only muzzleflash. I am not sure what the code line is for it though.

Not sure if it was mentioned… it’s possible to add command line parameters, don’t lock it down completely, but some parms should probably be disabled.

One thing which should be add is somekind of watermark, so it’s possible to see if a config has been gone beyond what you guys want the game to look like.

I just put in chickens CFG and that reminds me of my ET Pro CFG. No Muzzleflash on either end. Now to combine Chickens, Mine, Prophetts and Bocces CFG into the ultimate killing machine!!
