Abuse Of the Kick System

Another thing I’ve noticed is that people tend not to pay attention to who to kick either when there is a disruptive or hacking player and go with the crowd. It’s happened to me twice where we encountered a cheater on our team and prior to that I was somehow on top of the board doing awesome, but when the kick vote goes up it was my name, the guy kicking said “sorry wrong guy” but the kick wen’t through anyway. Although in my case it was clearly an accident on the part of the kickers, one should definitely pay more attention as to whose name they are clicking on or mis-clicking.

BTW if people are kicking you because they are trying to troll you or harass you, then use the report feature and state what is going on, if there is any credence to your claim of harassment and it somehow really affects you, then you’ll have to do just that and that will give you some peace of mind, or file a manual ticket to Nexon.

For some reason people start votekicks a lot in Execution, havent found it to be happening as much in other game modes.

But if the vote went through then you must have been doing something that the team disliked. I have had more votekicks against me than I can count in Execution but they have never passed through exept one time when I joined in on a farming server.

So you are most likely not telling the whole story.

Well you probably got kicked by premades. Normally you don’t get kicked unless you act like a major asshole. One match I carried with Kira at last objective in train yard (laser ftw). Next match I got in the same team with those guys I killed before so they kicked me lol. But this happens so rarely I don’t mind. Just shake it off and laugh about it. What I really dislike though is when people kick someone who is low lvl. That’s extremely toxic and hurts the game pretty hard

No one gets kicked for no reason. It’s either you’re being a dckhead or they’re being a dckhead and it isn’t so easy to develop a system whereby people aren’t dckheads to eachother because you have to create guidelines for what makes a person a dckhead and when a dckhead sees those guidelines and dckheadedly thinks that it’s unjustified to call the dckhead a dckhead, they act like a dckhead and preach about stuff like “free speech” and whatnot to mask how much of a dckhead they are. It’s troublesome stuff.

yes peoples get kicked for no reason. all the time in fact. Just the other day I was playing execution and was not on the top of my game, so some guy in the team decided to call a vote kick because I was apparently not useful enough to them.

Thats not a reason to kick somebody. A reason is if the person is AFK or being obscene or grief-ing then you kick them. Not if they aren’t in the number 1 spot on the team.

yeah, I can see this happening. It has happened to me a few times and I’m being serious when I say that I did or said nothing obscene or abusive.

Some people are just jerks. and you will get that in every game.

Who defines done nothing wrong? That would be the voters.

Here’s the thing. Either you allow vote kicks, or you do not allow vote kicks. You aren’t ever going to get a set of guidelines that will work in game.

I think you know what I mean by nothing wrong. Why would you say the voters decide? The fact of whether or not they were doing something wrong decides in itself whether the person should be kicked, not the voters. The voters are simply there to reinforce the truth (and to judge whether or not based on the truth) that the person was in fact doing something wrong. So, if the voters are then deciding what is right and what is wrong, that is not democracy, that is anarchy.

I never said the kick system should be gotten rid of. It is abused sometimes yes, but, for the most part? It is used properly. And therefore, its good far out ways the occasional time that it is used improperly.

It has to be said, you can score pretty high with Vassili, yet still not contribute anything to your team’s effort. Playing Vassili like that would be a very legit reason to kick a top scoring player.
