They are looking at data right now (ie. how he’s most played, when people use him, what maps, what loadouts are used and most importantly, his performance against other mercs).

Oh whale, I’m honestly a flanking type of person and that’s why I really enjoy Phantom’s Refractive Armor but it’s still too visible .-.

Hrm, so we should play Phantom more to get the easy kills with the cloaked katana so the data will show the problem with him. Then maybe they’ll take away the “armor” aspect of the cloak or the one/two-shot of the Katana. Guess I’ll be playing Phantom more now.

I agree with @JesseKomm, the whole point of unique weapons, especially melee weapons, is that they’re unique! I mean, unless they’re going to add another class that’s like a ninja or something, then they shouldn’t be giving other classes a katana.

I think we all need to remember that NOTHING about it was said other than it will be “coming to other mercs”. This means it might be for an entirely new merc, or we might see some adjustments to some other mercs for it.

It’s a fairly safe bet we won’t be seeing anything like Nader’s or Rhino’s prancing around with a katana any time in the future. If anything, out of the existing mercs, the most likely candidates to receive the katana would be the other recons (ie. Vassili and Red-Eye) or possibly an engineer.

Another thing to not forget is that our voices are always heard by Splash Damage! Don’t like something they added? Say so on the forum!

Almost every change in this recent patch was due to forum feedback… So, I wouldn’t worry too much :stuck_out_tongue:

Clearly Rhino should get a sumo ability instead of a melee weapon where he can run at you and pick you up and throw you. WRASTLING!

We are investigating this now. I am just as surprised as you are.

EDIT: After investigating Faraleth was banned due to the forums multiple accounts rule. Miss Murder has unbanned Faraleth’s account but left the other accounts on his IP as banned(They had never posted once and are quite old).

Unlikely, as the accounts hadn’t been logged into recently afaik. The time when they were created was when we had a first post filter in place so you couldn’t see what you posted until it was approved. Odds are he didn’t see his post and just made new accounts and not realizing what was happening.
